Information for Teachers

[Many Entries on a single CD]   [Prizes]   [Theme]

Many entries on a single CD

Teachers may choose to collate many entries onto a single CD and submit these entries on behalf of their class/school.

The following needs to be done so that entries can be processed

All entries on a CD need to be organised by Competition Category and then Age Grouping

The following screen capture displays how a school called "Sample Primary School" would organise their entries.  They have Presentation entries in the R-2 and 6-9 age groupings and a Web Site entry from a student named "Daffy Duck" in the 6-9 age grouping.  A student named 'Dim Sim' has provided two Presentation entries and so has a file named 'Dim Sim1.pps' and 'Dim Sim2.pps'.

The CD needs to be clearly labeled with the School's name

All files need to be named using the students full name (Given and Family Name)

Age Groupings and Prizes

Please note: This year we have reworked the prize model to better reflect the work that goes into some entries. Please read the changes carefully.

Open Section: Open section winners now compete independently of all other groups. This has been done to encourage adults to enter the competition. This further acknowledges that students may have an advantage. The change reflects this and ensures that adults only compete against other adults.

Prize money: Will be presented at schools following the competition by a representatives of the Show Society.

Entry Fee: Free

Due Date:  Exhibits must be at the Mount Gambier A&H Community Bank Spring Show Office by 3:00pm on Wednesday 23rd September 2009 at 3:00pm  LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Entries need to be in at this time due to the nature of the competition. Collating and preparing entries for judging and display is quite time consuming

Collection of exhibits: Original CDs will be returned to schools when prizes and certificates are awarded.  Private entries can be collected from the Show Office after the show.
